Heartwood Tools is a company for woodworkers, by a woodworker. I only sell the tools I use myself in my own wood shop. Because I am intimately familiar with them, you can trust you are buying a quality tool when you make a purchase. It also means that if you have any questions about how to set up or use a tool, I can help you with that. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out; I am here to serve you.

Leslie Webb, Founder and CEO

Leslie brings over 15 years of woodworking experience to Heartwood Tools. She attended the Nine Month Comprehensive Program at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship where she had the opportunity to study with some of the best furniture makers in the world including David Upfill Brown, Aled Lewis, Brian Boggs, and Thomas Hucker. She also spent three months interning with Michael Fortune in his own studio. Leslie feels extremely fortunate for this education and is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. She loves discussing all manner of woodworking topics and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Leslie enjoys using both hand tools & machines and firmly believes every woodworker must find their own balance between the two - there is no one way to do anything. Whether you have a question about using a tool or need help strategizing the joinery on your project, Leslie welcomes all questions.

Leslie started her own custom furniture business, Leslie Webb Design, in 2007. She produces her own designs in small batches as well as one off pieces on a commission basis. Her aesthetic is contemporary while her construction methods are the tried and true traditional techniques that stand the test of time. She has won many awards for her pieces and has participated in over thirty shows & exhibitions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, ICFF, and the Architectural Digest Home Design Show. She has taught at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship as well as the Austin School of Furniture and Design. Leslie is proud to be a member of the woodworking community, the best one out there.
